Little Hudson,
I hope your first birthday is as wonderful as you are! Be good for Mom and Dad today so they can take hundreds of pictures of just how teeny and perfect you are. I am so glad you were born, Happy Birthday little love! Now go convince Mom to get you a little sister for your birthday! =)

{Hudson’s Sweet Family}
I picked up film today…and I just had to share these two. Happy Friday!!

A few of my photos on wood are up in a show downtown at the Lyceum Theater at the bottom of Horton Plaza, and it opens tonight at 7pm. Here are some artists that also have stuff up. Come see the digital media, fine art, paintings, photos (Amanda Dalgren!) and lots of delish typography. Also, I have been told that there will be lots of cookies.

Hey Friends!
So some of you know already that Nick and I decided to end our relationship a while ago…and I had so many sweet emails from clients and friends asking if we were alright that I didn’t get to respond to. I just wanted to say that we are both so happy, and truly have not felt more hopeful and focused. Nick and I were good as a couple, really good as friends, but really really ridiculously great as business and shooting partners, so we decided to take the best parts and keep them in good working order. We have had a pretty sweet deal worked out for a while with Nick in charge of {some of his many} brilliant areas, and me in charge of the rest- just the way this Libra likes it!! Since he has a day job as a web guru and this IS my day job, it seems to balance well. I am totally overwhelmed by the good things that has been coming up the past few months, so thanks to good thought thinkers and the universe for that. Sorry for the long rant and the venting…now here are some photos from a Seattle trip that we went on a while back that I have been saving for this very post.

We stayed at The Ace Hotel…there are no words to describe the charm of that place- not to mention the amazing coffee!

This lovely couple came to San Diego to celebrate Daisy’s birthday. It’s hard not to be happy when you are surrounded by such sweet energy and love. We ran around North Park in the last little bit of light and had such a fun day…Happy Birthday Daisy!

oh…and Angie is an amazing artist. She painted this beautiful shirt for Daisy, and I love it!!

7am in San Luis Obispo light…ahhh!! These two gorgeous people and this magical place made the day after the Heiple wedding so worth the early alarm clock scaring me half to death. Here is the lovely Angelena, and my dear friend Michael.

This is my Michael…he is an amazing teacher at the Child Development Center of SLO Check out their cute site! They are an abuse prevention/intervention center, and they do SO much for so many low income families in San Luis. They are inspiring and they make me feel like I need to do more for other people…{make a tax deductible donation here}

Lindsay and Jacob got married at the Heritage House in the village of Arroyo Grande. The Central Coast of California is so amazingly beautiful. Even in the dry Summer it is super green with beautiful light. This whole wedding was handmade and put together by the bride and it turned out so unique and lovely. Isn’t Lindsay gorgeous??

I was so lucky to have Kameron Ahler helping me at this wedding…it was pretty amazing! I LOVE this shot of the guys…so handsome!

Remember little Gentry?? I can’t get enough of that baby…

These next few lovelies are Kameron’s…Cute much??

I really enjoyed this wedding party and all of the families at this wedding. It’s so fun to take photos when people are actually having a really good time!

Love this kid, and the light after the ceremony!

Kam’s detail shots: {drooling over these…}

I love love love simple rings, although Lindsay has a sparkley diamond ring too, these bands were some of my favorites yet.

Jacob getting cake cleaned off his face…

There has been a lot of really beautiful progress on the mural in South Park, and it looks like it will be finished late tonight or tomorrow sometime. It is SO amazing to watch this artist and his team work. It’s just so challenging for my brain to wrap around a workspace that large in size…it makes me a little dizzy just thinking about it.
Here are two photos of Shepard and one of his sweet daughters. She was such an articulate little lady who obviously loves her Dad quite a bit. She told me all about her two smallish dogs while petting Oscar{my long-haired chihuahua} and kept reminding her Dad to wear his hat in the sun. Kids are the best.

Shepard Fairey is one of the most amazing street artists of all time.{recognize this?} {or this} {this too?} He is also a ridiculously talented graphic designer and illustrator, and I am truly inspired by his bold use of typography and color. I have had my eye on his new book {Obey: supply & demand: the art of Shepard Fairey} and I was so excited to find out he was in San Diego {thank you Museum of Contemporary Art} painting huge walls for our enjoyment. I got to watch a small piece of this huge two day project in South Park{J.Walcher Communications} get created, and it was amazing. I am editing some of the video right now too! What a day=) Check back for the rest of the photos, I am heading back over there in the morning!

I will be shooting Lindsey and Jacob’s lovely wedding in San Luis Obispo {technically, Arroyo Grande} this weekend. Since Nick will be staying in San Diego to document another last minute wedding, I have the great luck that the amazing Kameron Ahler is available and coming to help me shoot! He has such a great eye, and I can not wait to see what he ends up with. Here are some of Kam’s awesome photos that he took for our website=)
